2. GATHER AROUND THE TABLE

What better way to bring everyone together than with delicious food. And what’s even better is that our guide showcases an easy way to provide tasty bites that’s easy to prepare and make the best holiday essentials for your guests to enjoy around the table. Our motto is don’t be afraid to turn to your local grocery store for pre-prepared items and know that your local bakery is your friend. We found the best holiday cookies from a local bakery in Austin called Upper Crust Bakery and featured them on our Chitra Mini Serving Tray and Mukhendu Circular Tray.

Here’s a few tips and recipes that can help to make the best spread for your next holiday party:

CHARCUTERIE BOARD 101

Making a charcuterie board doesn’t have to be intimidating. When you take on the task to make them on your own, the options are endless as to what you can include! A good rule of thumb is to include a variety of cheeses, meats, fruits, crackers, nuts, etc. Find a really good cheese board as your vessel to hold everything, we recommend one of our boards such as the Nakshatra Cheese Board or the Mango Shimmer Vine Cheese Tray. From there you can add in your cheeses, meats, crackers and fill in the gaps with fresh or dried fruit and nuts. Easy as1-2-3, right?

GET THE PARTY STARTED WITH EASY HOLIDAY APPETIZERS

crostini two ways

An easy and quick favorite, this is perfect for any holiday party. Serving up two different options of crostini is sure to please any appetite, and your guests will surely be coming back for more.

Ingredients:

1 Baguette (sliced into small rounds)

1-2 Garlic Cloves diced

1 Tomato (sliced thinly)

1/2 cup Pesto

Mayo

Truffle Powder or Black Garlic Powder

1 Burrata Cheese Ball

Olive Oil

1/2 cup Bruscetta Topping

Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions:

1. Brush the top of each crostini with olive oil and toast in the oven for 5 minutes.

2. Once cooled, dust the tops of each crostini with diced garlic.

3. Set aside half of the rounds to create your two versions of crostini.

For the first version:
Spread a small amount of mayo to cover the tops and dust with garlic powder or truffle powder (or both!).  Top with a thin slice of tomato to cover each crostini, and add salt and pepper to taste.

For the second version:

Add a dollop of burrata to the top of the remaining crostinis.  Add a small dollop of pesto on top of the burrata, and then top with the bruscetta mix.
