Our mission at Matr Boomie is not only to support communities at-risk in India but also those at-risk in our local community in Austin, Texas. Our founder Manish Gupta and his partner Ruchi are truly passionate about this vision and it is an integral part of the mission at Matr Boomie.
This month our team rallied together for a volunteer session at Caritas of Austin whose mission is "ending homelessness in Austin"
We started the day at the Downtown Austin facility, where they serve lunch to approximately 150-200 people per day, Monday-Friday. We started the day prepping foods by dividing up portions of food, either to be served or packed in to-go bags for people to take.
The second part involved welcoming and serving the community.
Lastly, with the close of a successful service it was time to break down and clean up!
Our team finds it super rewarding to give back to our local community, in addition to creating an impact globally. We finished the afternoon off with a well-deserved, hearty lunch at local bakery and restaurant Easy Tiger.
